How do I book a kayak?

Click the “Proceed to Booking” button, read the safety instructions, and then select “Book Now”. By doing so, you confirm that you have read all instructions and that you use the kayak at your own risk. 📲 You can also directly scan the QR code in front of the kayak to start the booking process immediately.

How do I unlock the kayak lock?

After booking online, you’ll receive an email with a “Start Booking” button. Click it to reveal your PIN.

Steps to unlock:
1. Tap any button to wake up the lock.
2. Enter the PIN and tap the unlock icon (🔓).
3. When the LED flashes green, pull the shackle down to open.
4. To lock: push the shackle down until it clicks.

Do I need experience to use the kayak?

No, the kayaks are stable and suitable for recreational use. We recommend that you can swim and always wear a life jacket.

How many people can fit in a kayak?

Most kayaks are designed for two people, but can also be used solo. The kayak type is specified in the booking description.

Is it safe for children?

Children must always be accompanied by an adult. Child-size life jackets are available in the storage or on request. Extra caution is advised.

Where are the kayaks located?

The kayaks are located on the beach inside a locked storage box, which you access using a PIN code.

What happens after booking?

After booking, you'll receive an email with a "Start booking" button.

Clicking this button will generate two PIN codes:

🔓 One for the smart lock of your assigned kayak box (e.g. #1), which contains:
– kayak
– paddle
– life jackets
– one dry bag per kayak
🔓 One for the shared storage box (#6), which contains extra equipment such as:
– children's life jackets
– waterproof phone pouches (available if needed)

Please check your inbox and Spam/Junk folder for the email.

How do I use the dry bag?

Roll the top of the dry bag down several times and clip it to keep water out.

When should I return the kayak?

You must return the kayak before your rental time ends. We recommend returning it 5 minutes early to allow time for packing.

What about the equipment?

Place the paddle back on the kayak rack. Hang the life jackets to dry for the next user. Return the dry bag into the kayak.

What do I do after returning the kayak?

Take a photo of the kayak and gear inside the storage, and a photo of the locked padlock. Upload them using the link you received. This helps ensure safety and accountability.

What if I’m late returning the kayak?

Timely return is important for other users. Late returns may incur a penalty fee.

What if something gets damaged or lost?

You must report any damage. Lost or seriously damaged gear may be subject to a replacement fee, as stated in the rental terms.

Does the system work without mobile internet?

It's recommended to have internet access for receiving the PIN and support, but unlocking works offline using the code.

What if the lock doesn’t open?

Check if you entered the code correctly. Try again after a short break. If it still doesn’t work, call the support number in your booking confirmation.

Can I kayak at night?

No. Kayaking at night is strictly prohibited for safety reasons. Rentals are only allowed during station operating hours (06:00–21:00).

Safety instructions

By renting a kayak, the user confirms they are using the equipment at their own risk and are familiar with the safety instructions.

➡️1. Life vest required
All users must wear the provided safety vest at all times while on the water and carry a fully charged mobile phone to call for help in case of emergency.

🌊 2. Stay within 300 meters of the shore
Going beyond the designated safety zone is strictly prohibited.
⚠️ Speedboat drivers often don’t see you – stay alert and make sure you are visible at all times.

🚫 3. Do not paddle under the influence of alcohol or drugs
Renting and using a kayak is not permitted for individuals under the influence of intoxicating substances.

👨👩👧👦 4. Children may use a kayak only under adult supervision
The minimum age for solo use is 18 years.

🌙 5. Kayaking at night is prohibited
Kayak use is allowed only during daylight hours and in good weather conditions.

☀️ 6. Protect yourself from the sun and bring enough water
It is recommended to wear a hat, sunglasses, and use sunscreen. Always bring water to avoid dehydration.

📵 7. Do not use your phone while on the water
Keep both hands free for paddling and stay aware of your surroundings.

📍 8. Check the weather and sea conditions
Do not go out on the water in strong winds, rain, or if there is a risk of a storm.

📸 9. Respect nature and other beach users
Littering, approaching swimmers, and endangering others’ safety are strictly prohibited.
